Sorry to have been away from the site recently, I *really* need to find some time to improve the client.

Le score gagnant est 467 et a été trouvé par Louis (Anna est sa femme), donc je tiens à les féliciter !

Depuis notre collaboration sur le site, avec les versions 4.0 et 4.1, nous avons également atteint plusieurs fois ce score (46 fois précisément) grâce à l'algorithme de Louis et à votre aide.

Here are the changes for this new version:

• The solver was improved.
• The number of pieces for statistics has been fixed.
• The stdout/stderr files are back under Windows.

The minigui is still buggy under Windows, sorry about that!

This new version results from a cooperation between Louis and myself.
Louis is the author of an excellent solver for Eternity 2, and we are trying to combine our efforts to reach the best score.
We hope that with his powerful algorithm, and the community on my website, we will reach new limits!

The behavior of the client should be similar to version 3.1:

• As before you must create a user.txt and pieces.txt.
• The client will synchronize with the server on startup and every hours.

Following the suggestions on the previous version, I have enhanced the rules for partial grids optimization.

Suite aux suggestions sur la version précédente, j'ai amélioré les critères d'optimisation des grilles partielles.

Here is a new version of your favorite software ;-)

• Fix crash when passing wrong parameters on the command line.
• New optimization in the piece selection algorithm

Voici une nouvelle version de votre client préféré ;-)

• Correction du plantage lors d'un passage de mauvais paramètre en ligne de commande.
• Nouvelle optimisation de l'algorithme de choix des pièces.

Je vais envoyer lundi une nouvelle grille aux arbitres Eternity II.
C'est "Magnus Nygren" qui a trouvé le nouveau meilleur score du site.
Pour information, il utilise la version 2.3 sans indices, ce qui semble être le meilleur choix pour l'instant.
Je vous invite à faire de même si vous voulez maximiser votre score partiel.

Just a quick news to let you know I retrieved the Eternity2.net domain name.
I contacted the previous webmaster and found an agreement.
Currently it is just a redirection to the English download page for the Eternity2.fr client, I will try later to translate the whole site if I have some time.
I hope this will bring us some additional users, since the Eternity2.net project had a good visibility.

Version 2.2 contains small updates, please upgrade when you can.

Quelques petites améliorations dans cette version :

• Paramétrage (côté serveur) permettant le redémarrage à intervalles réguliers de la grille.
• Affichage du meilleur score obtenu dans le log, lors de la synchronisation avec le serveur.
• Ajout du numéro de processus dans le log.
