Happy new year 2009 to everyone!
And now that the first scrutiny date has passed, what will happen, according to the official rules?
"Any winner will be notified by post, telephone or email within 14 days of the scrutiny. A winner must allow his or her name, likeness, home town and solution to be used in publicity. The results of each annual scrutiny, the announcement of any winner, and details of partial-solution prizes will be published in the London Times and in the New York Times, and at www.eternityII.com."
But apparently, there is no news yet... So what else?
"To protect other solvers, the judges will disqualify any entry whose existence becomes publicly known before the date of the annual scrutiny following its submission, and any entrant who has publicly disclosed any details of any of the Eternity II pieces in any form or medium."
So if I understand correctly, it is now possible for someone who has solved the puzzle (and submitted a solution) to reveal it. Dave Clark did not say he solved the puzzle whereas he could do it now. So my guess is that eternity2.fr must have the best score!!! What is it? And does Royale want to publish the best grid ever discovered?
What do you think?
